We have laser engraved the marathon distance onto the silhouette of a woman running, which we cut out and then mounted onto a 7/8" diameter disc. 

It is available with any distance you prefer.  

Runner is 1.2mm thick and disc is approximately .3mm thick.  There is plenty of room both on the front and back to engrave other things!
