The Variegated Monstera Standleyana aurea is a rare, climbing aroid plant with deep green, oval leaves that have splashes or large patches of yelloe on them. It has a thick leaf, which makes it relatively hardy but also a very slow grower.
The plant grows best when allowed to climb, and a mature plant has a neat layered or "stacked" appearance. It does not develop fenestrations as it matures.
The plant grows best and provides the most variegation when kept in bright indirect light. Place this plant in an east-facing window or slightly away from a south- or west-facing window, protected from harsh direct afternoon sunlight.
